Dr. Lavian specializes in telecommunications, network communications, wireless, and Internet protocols, including mobile devices, smartphones, wireless LAN (WLAN), routing, LAN/WAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, IP, VoIP, web, and streaming media. Dr. Lavian has invented over 120 patents. Dr. Tal Lavian provides scientific research and invention consulting with expertise in: Telecommunications, Computer Networking, and Internet Technologies Dr. Tal Lavian is a scientist, technologist, and educator with over 25 years of experience in computer science and network communications. As a principal scientist at Innovations-IP, he consults in the area of telecommunications and networking technologies. He is also a Berkeley CET Industry Fellow and lecturer at the UC Berkeley College of Engineering. He is a named inventor on over 60 issued and filed patents, and has published over 25 scientific papers. He worked for eleven years at Nortel Research Labs where he created and chaired Nortel Networks� EDN Patent Committee. As Principal Investigator he led three US Department of Defense (DARPA) data networking research projects. Dr. Lavian graduated from UC Berkeley with a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in networking and communications. Dr. Lavian also consults in communications technologies including: Network communications, telecommunications, Internet software, Web, network protocols, TCP/IP, streaming media, VoIP and mobile wireless.
