Dr. Venayagamoorthy is the Duke Energy Distinguished Professor of Power Engineering and Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Clemson University. Prior to that, he was a Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, USA from 2002 to 2011 and Senior Lecturer in Department of Electronic Engineering, Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa from 1996 to 2002. He is the Founder (2004) and Director of the Real-Time Power & Intelligent Systems Lab. He holds an Honorary Professor position in the School of Engineering at the University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. He holds a PhD (Natal-South Africa, 2002), MScEng (Natal-South Africa, 1999) degrees in Electrical Engineering, BEng Honors (ATBU-Nigeria, 1994) and MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (Clemson-USA, 2016). He has given over 500 invited keynotes, presentations, tutorials and lectures in over 40 countries.
