Technical Specialities

Engineering design, development, simulation, and prototyping of electronics. Most of the work is in the area of RF and microwave circuits and systems, including transmitters, receivers, power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and antennas in the frequency range of DC to 26.5 GHz. Simulation tools include Agilent Genesys with Modelithics complete library, Agilent SystemVue, Matlab, Mathcad, Mathematica, Intusoft Spice (IntuSpice), SolidWorks, and Singula and Chronos for antenna and electromagnetic simulation. Circuit board layout tools include Altium Designer and PCAD. Fully equipped laboratory with HP8563E spectrum analyzer, HP8753D and HP8510C vector network analyzers (both with time domain options), HP83630B synthesized signal generator covering 10 MHz-26.5 GHz for general use and for use with HP8510C system, HP8970B/8971C noise figure system covering 10 MHz-26.5 GHz, and many other pieces of test and measurement equipment. A small outdoor antenna range is also available, along with a 1-18 GHz calibrated horn antenna for FCC part 15 pre-compliance testing. Also experienced with HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, and AWR Microwave Office.

Additional Specialities

I have the complete Agilent Genesys including Spectrasys, Harbec, Cayenne, Momentum GXF, along with the various synthesis tools. I also have the Modelithics complete library to use with Genesys. I also have Agilent SystemVue for system simulation and DSP development. For EM and antenna design, I have Chronos and Singula. I have also used, and can lease, HFSS and CST Microwave Studio for antenna and EM work. I have used, and can lease, AWR Microwave Office for RF, microwave, linear and non-linear simulation. (The package is similar to Genesys, which I own.) I also have Matlab, Mathcad, Mathematica. For circuit board layout, I have Altium Designer and PCAD. I can also use Altium Designer for FPGA development, along with the Altium Nanoboard development platform. For Spice simulations I have Intusoft's Intuspice. For mechanical design, I have SolidWorks Professional.
