Biography
I began my career by obtaining my associates degree in electrical and electronic engineering technology at Wentworth Institute of Technology and then a bachelors of science in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I am an independent consultant electrical engineer with various areas of focus primarily in commercial and industrial applications. I have more than 30 years' experience in design, installation, and commissioning of electrical, electronic, computer, and networking systems. Areas of expertise include electric power generation and distribution (Low and medium voltage), gas industry, water purification and wastewater industries, control systems, remote telemetry and communications systems, instrumentation, code evaluations, hazardous areas, safety, and expert witness work.

Technical Specialties
Provide engineering and consulting services to assist clients in meeting their goals. Our passion is electrical systems, automation and control systems, energy efficient systems, and electrically hazardous areas design. We have significant experience with industrial and commercial applications. Project roles include design, design build, owners engineer, commissioning engineer, consulting engineer, and safety engineer services. Engineering and design includes technical design and/or review, procurement support, utility coordination, construction supervision, commissioning, and startup. Engineering design involves drawings and equipment or systems specifications. The level of detail in drawings and specifications depends on client needs. Energy efficient systems experience includes wave power, organic rankine cycle (free heat recovery), and energy storage projects (pressurized caverns). We are interested in solar, wind, tidal, and wave power projects. We have significant experience with flammable gas and combustible dust systems design. Expertise with natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG), nitrogen, liquid nitrogen, propane, liquid propane, mercaptan, hydrogen, coal, and wood. We support engineering and architectural firms on projects or that have a temporary heavy work load. Partnering with other engineers and firms allow us to focus on what we do well and allow others to do what they do well.
