This is too add to the information on how 'Human Vision' works and how we  process it mentally.

The factors that are important to recognize is:

1. The energy that is perceived by the consciousness [visual identification minimal]
2. The energy that is perceived by the Subconscious [Energy's Identification of substance and or energy that is emitted and or illuminated.]
3. The  itemized energy and images from birth to adulthood of all types of substances energies associated with what we view in a everyday life and how it attaches references from subconsciousness to the items and or environment around.

The way this could be proven is as follows:

[notes:  every substance has energies associated with it, given reference to material, substance, and or raw energies from nature and not.

Example:  a wall, energies referenced - substance recognition, colour, texture, and such which you perceive energies of the wall in your subconscious which says, hey it is this substance with these properties to it. The visual consciousness side of interpretation uses both the visual normally we see, as well as a whole list of energies associated with the consciousness interpretation. 

This is proven, look at a object, and only a glimpse and you can usually identify it as object, substance, and other characteristics.

For visual references, using a method such as x-rays to determine the material and such, which can then go into a database of all objects, and then a visual and non visual energy based sensor would be able to identify the object by a numerous listing of identified types of material.

A Basis for Machine Vision and Medical Uses from the type of Categorizations of objects and energies [clouds, sunlight, rain, etc]
