IEEE Women-in-Engineering (WIE) in partnership with the IEEE New Initiative Committee is excited to announce a story contest to bridge the gender gap, promote gender diversity, and motivate young girls for a career in STEM. This contest is supported by the IEEE Japan Council

Meet Rico-Chan! The girl who cleverly solves everyday problems through STEM.

Write a story in English under 500 words based on the character Rico-Chan. The story can be either fiction or non-fiction.

The winners' stories will be plotted in the format of Manga comics and will be socialized with the community through IEEE WIE Newsletter and website. The Manga stories will be available not only to the IEEE members, but also used as a tool to engage young generations particularly girls through IEEE WIE 1000+ Affinity Groups globally. View Guidelines and Apply Here
