Biography
Rob Craig has two decades of experience working in education in both traditional and nontraditional institutions from The Newark Museum to New York University. Currently, Rob is the Program Manager within IEEE’s Standards Association, where he oversees knowledge management for Standards University. In this role, he provides support to teams and develops and promotes educational initiatives to drive the mission of IEEE. Additionally, Rob manages multiple projects to support the capacity of institutional colleagues at every level to effectively engage members of their communities as partners in enhancing success through standards education.
Before joining IEEE, Rob was the Associate Director, Division of Programs in Business with New York University. In this role, he worked at an intersection of development and application, specializing in system and campus-level academic innovation work; business, technology, human capital management, and finance; and on academic/industry partnerships. Additionally, Rob served as the project manager for multiple school-wide initiatives, which explored academic transformations like course redesign and to understand its influence on policies and procedures. He was also the lead program manager on a multi-year, program to understand and transform student experiences and to strengthen academic/industry engagement, specifically in technology.
Rob earned a Master's degree in Education from Saint Peter's University, a Master's degree in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New Jersey City University, as well as being a licensed teacher in New Jersey.
