Ramesh Kumar Bhandari Senior Member

Biography
Dr. Ramesh Kumar Bhandari is an R&D engineer working in the semiconductor packaging industry for the last 17 years. He completed M.E. in electronics engineering and Ph.D. in materials engeering from Shinshu University, Japan, carrying out research on thin film solar materials. He was a recipient of Japanese Ministry of Education Scholarship for graduate studies. Before coming to Japan, he had completed B.E. in electrical engineering from Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. After completing studies, he joined Ibiden Co. Ltd. in 2007, where he has undertaken numerous R&D and process development activities on high density package substrates and new semiconductor package concepts. His major contributions are in laser micro-via and plasma related research and process developments for package substrates. He pioneered UV laser-based micro-via process development for advanced package substrates and applied it to high-volume manufacturing.
