Biography
Paul Robinson has been working in product compliance engineering in IBM since 1986. Between 1973 and 1986 he was working in electronics prototyping, testing and service, including the telecommunications engineering industry, the medical x-ray imaging industry, printing industry, and telecommunications network management. Paul represents Australia at the international IEC TC 108 committee (safety of electronic equipment) and received the IEC 1906 award for his product safety standards contributions. He also participates in a range of Australian national technical committees and industry regulatory committees and maintains close contact with government regulatory agencies. In 2016 he was appointed Chair of Standards Australia's national committee for safety of electronic equipment standards. Paul is an IEEE senior member, and PSES member and other Societies. In January 2022 he was elected to the Board of Governors of the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society for 3 years.
