biography
Paul Robinson has been working in product compliance engineering in IBM since 1986. Between 1973 and 1986 he was working in various electronics technical prototyping, testing and service roles, including nearly seven years in the telecommunications engineering industry, and several years in each of the medical x-ray imaging, printing industry, and telecommunications network management. Paul represents Australia at the international IEC TC 108 committee (safety of electronic equipment), where he received the IEC 1906 award for his product safety standards contributions to the development of the hazards based safety standard for ICT. He also participates in a range of Australian national technical committees and industry committees, and maintains close contact with government regulatory agencies. In 2016 he was appointed Chair of Standards Australia's national committee for safety of electronic equipment standards. Paul is an IEEE senior member, and PSES member and other Societies.
