Biography
Alex Matov is interested in contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of human disease. All degenerative diseases originate at a nanometer scale as changes in morphology and trafficking of organelles and proteins in individual cells. To study these processes, Alex cultures primary patient-derived cells, performs high resolution imaging and develops contemporary software for advanced data analysis with the objective of discovering mechanisms behind disease pathogenesis and resistance to existing therapies.
