Biography
Francesco Flammini - IEEE Senior M- got his laurea and doctoral degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II. Since 2003, he has worked on research and innovation in the fields of systems dependability and critical infrastructure security, both in private (Ansaldo STS – a Hitachi Group Company, formerly a Finmeccanica Group Company) and public (Italian State Mint and Polygraphic Institute) sectors. He has managed large international engineering projects, involving design, installation, verification and maintenance. He has also managed several EU funded research projects addressing cyber-physical security, and he has served as an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission. He has been an ACM Distinguished Speaker and Adjunct Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering, and he is regularly teaching seminars in post-degree courses on Homeland Security. He is currently a Full Professor of Computer Science focusing on trustworthy autonomy.
