Biography
PhD in Computer Science, U. of Warwick. My research field is Proactive Computer Forensics. I hold a Masters degree with Distinction in Forensic Computing and Security from the U. of Derby. My field of work in Digital Forensics as a MSc. student was money laundering detection based on digital forensic practices. As a professional, I have a strong background in the field of Software Engineering after having worked as Software Designer, Analyst and Programmer. Also, I have worked providing consultancy services in the field of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, service management, and IT management for various companies in Ecuador, Colombia and the US. I joined the Academia as assistant professor at the National Polytechnic School of Ecuador by the end of 2009, where I begun teaching Software Engineering and Networking. My fields of interest are computer forensics, e-discovery, network security, Information security management, cyber crime, and fraud detection.
