Dr. Xiangtao (Steve) Yin is an entrepreneur with diverse scientific research, product engineering, corporate management and business development experience. Prior to 2007, Dr. Yin primarily conducted innovative R&D work in Nanjing Univ., U, of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Harvard Medical School and Philips Research North America. Since then, he has been shifting his attention from R&D focus into entrepreneurship endeavor, taking leadership roles in a couple of medical device and software startups both in US and China. Dr. Yin's past and recent research interests include surface acoustic wave filters for telecommunication use, computational electromagnetics, ultrasound nondestructive evaluation, biomedical imaging, ultrasound therapy, and natural user interface applications. He is a senior member of IEEE, served as an ad hoc reviewer for several professional journals, published 20+ conference and journal articles and 15+ Chinese patents and patent applications by far.
