Biography
Susan Young is an award-winning communicator and keynote speaker in the engineering industry. She has worked with new and seasoned professionals for 24 years, including IEEE-HKN. Susan helps firms develop top tier talent who can quickly step into their leadership potential. Virtual and in-person programs focus on soft skills, deep listening, networking, and storytelling. Susan blends brain science and a New Jersey personality so students walk away with tactical and practical strategies to grow their careers and impact. Her experience as a radio news reporter and anchor brings a unique skill set to engineering and construction. She has interviewed everyone from homeless people to presidents. Susan also managed the Office of Radio & TV for NJ Gov. Christie Whitman. In addition, Susan was a PR director at a nonprofit. Susan has been honored as Entrepreneur of the Year. Susan and her husband have two grown children. They live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
