Richard Driesen has more than 25 years of professional experience. Richard has worked in several companies since graduating in 1995 after 4 years of study. He started his career in a Telecommunications company EMBRATEL working on the national data network . He accepted the proposal to implement the new data operator Netstream acting as a systems engineer for 1 year. He was then hired by a new Datacenter startup called OptiGlobe. In this work he was technically responsible for the new Rio de Janeiro Datacenter with 10000m2. He worked for 6 years. In 2006 he took a new job at Cisco working as a Customer Support Engineer. Currently, he works at the telecommunications operator Claro. He has been at Claro since 2008. Richard served as telecom lead during the Rio2016 Olympics Games. He is married and has one daughter.
