Ramon is an Electric T&D Utility Industry Leader and Senior Strategic Advisor with 25+ years experience in management and engineering mainly at American Electric Power, Duke Energy and various Consultancies and Service Providers to the industry. Ramon created and managed the corporate power quality department for AEP. In addition to hiring, developing employees, and leading teams, he has in-depth knowledge of T&D Modeling, Design, Approval, Operations and Planning, Smart Grid, and Reliability Improvement. He has also conducted Technical and Management Consulting for PUC’s and Utilities across USA. He has provided Technical Consulting to the US Standards Coordinating Committee and has held Industry Leadership Roles at EPRI, EEI and IEEE via Chairmanships and Advisories. Ramon is a Power Systems SME recognized by peers and PhD’s. One of his many white papers became required reading at the University of Texas in a PhD Curriculum on Power System Harmonics.
