Biography
Prof. Raja Datta completed his M.Tech. in Computer Engineering and Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering, both from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (E&ECE) of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. Presently Prof. Datta is the Head of G. S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications at IIT Kharagpur. He is also the Professor Incharge of Technology Telecom Centre of IIT Kharagpur Since Feb 2011. Prof. Datta has a number of publications in Journals and Conferences in the area of Computer Communication and Networks and has guided several doctoral and Masters students. He was the Chairman of IEEE Kharagpur Section in 2014. he was also the Secretary and Vice Chair of IEEE Kharagpur Section in 2012 and 2013 respectively. His main research interest includes Internet of Things, Vehicular Networks, Interplanetary Networks, Ad hoc networks, WDM Optical Networks, network security etc.
