Biography
Pedro H. Albuquerque (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and lives in France. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brasilia. He is a Research Fellow at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE) and cofounder of ACCELERATION AND ADAPTATION. He worked previously at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Texas A and M International University, the Central Bank of Brazil, the International Monetary Fund, and a digital technology startup. Dr. Albuquerque published articles in a large number of scientific journals and was a presenter in many leading international conferences, in fields as varied as occupational science, engineering, economics, finance and social studies. His current areas of interest are: technology studies, economics & econometrics, occupational science, sustainability, and finance.
