Goodson brings extensive professional experience in associations, industry, engineering, and information technology. For 15+ years, he has served as the chief staff executive for professional associations operating on an international and regional basis. During previous employment with Carolina Power & Light Company (now Duke Energy), he managed information technology support organizations through periods of startup, significant change and growth. Goodson is founder and CEO of The Goodson Group, LLC, a management consulting and services firm, where he currently provides on-going executive leadership and management services for client organizations and engages in selected consulting projects. Goodson is an electrical engineering graduate of North Carolina State University. Goodson holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina.
