Biography
Dr. Michael A. Soderstrand is Director of Product Development for Synapse International, L.L.C. in Baltimore, MD. Prof. Soderstrand spent 26 years as Prof ECE at University of Calif., Davis (1972-1998), 6 years as Head of the Dept. of ECE at Oklahoma State University (1998-2004) and 4 years as an Adj. Prof at DeVry University Oklahoma City (2006-2010). Dr. Soderstrand chaired the 1997 IEEE MWSCAS held in Sacramento CA and the IEEE 2001 Asilomar Conf. held in Pacific Grove, CA. He was co-chair of IEEE MWSCAS in Tulsa, OK in 2002, Seoul Korea in 2011 and Boston MA 2017. Prof. Soderstrand has published over 200 technical articles and published 14 books or book chapters. He lives with his wife, Eunyoung Kim, in Baltimore, MD. They have two adult children, Matthew Alan West and Grace Yoona Cho, both of whom live and work in San Francisco, CA.
