Biography
Mario Aleman [SM' 2003, M' 2011, SM' 2013] holds a MSc. in Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University, a MSc. in Global Production Engineering from TU Berlin in Germany, and a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from National University of Engineering in Nicaragua. Mario has spent time as a visiting research scholar at Cornell University (2010), Fraunhofer CSE (2011), and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2012) working as a researcher in photovoltaic technology and power engineering. He has been an active entrepreneur since 2003, developing technology solutions for underserved areas of the third world country. He currently serves as a Board Member in the Electron Devices Society EDS and Chair for the Latin American Working Group for IEEE Smart Village.
