Dr. Marcel Winandy guides people to innovate and maximize the ideas they are passionate about. As an experienced system security architect, technology advisor, and security researcher, he helps to develop digital technologies in a secure and usable way. He is a Senior Expert Cyber Security Architect at E.ON, driving to include security by design into the digitalization of the smart grid and Internet of Things for energy. He worked several years in the field of computer security research, both in academia and industry. He held positions as Technology Advisor at Kaspersky Labs, Security Technologist at Huawei, Senior System Architect at Sirrix, and Research Associate/PostDoc at Ruhr-University Bochum. He studied Computer Science at the University of Bonn, and has a PhD in IT-Security from Ruhr-University Bochum. His focus topics are trusted computing, system security, secure operating systems, enterprise security architecture, and industrial IoT security.
