Biography
Electrical and Computer Engineering educator and Professor in the Spanish University for Distance Education (UNED), has an industrial engineering degree from the Madrid Polytechnic University (UPM) and a doctoral engineering degree. He received the UPM Extraordinary Doctoral Award, the Viesgo Award and other Awards. He works as researcher, coordinator and director in projects acting now as senior technical director. He was previously UNED New Technologies Vice-Rector and other management positions. He worked 5 years in Digital Equipment Corporation as senior system engineer. He publishes technical, research and teaching books and articles. He was co-chair of the conference IEEE EDUCON 2010, TAEE 2010 and ICECE 2005 and co-chair FIE 2014 in Madrid. He is Past President Sr of the IEEE Education Society (2017-2018), IEEE Region 8 Educational Activities Subcommittee Chair (2015-2016),nPresident of the IEEE Education Society (2013-2014) and IEEE Fellow. He is co-editor of IEEE-RITA.
