Biography
I completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Science in 2002 from MNREC / Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in Allahabad, India, and a PhD in Computer Science from University of Manchester, UK in 2007 (Research topic: building a sequence machine using spiking neurons employing rank order codes). I worked part time as a software tester in Transitive Limited (now part of IBM) in Manchester for 10 months and full time as a software engineer from Digital Applications International in Stockport for 4 years. After that, employed as a senior chief engineer at Samsung Electronics in Bangalore, India from 2011 till 2018. Currently I am working in Microsoft India. My research interests are in machine learning and neural networks and algorithms, computational neuroscience, brain computer interfaces, and cloud computing.
