Dr. Berengueres received an MEE and a PhD in engineering (robotics) from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is currently associate professor teaching Design Thinking, Big Data Analytics, UX Design, Artificial Intelligence in the CS Department of UAE University where he co-developed the Brown book of design thinking and the Amazon best seller Sketch Thinking. He has taught Design Thinking workshops internationally, (Apple, DEWA) and Business Models and Big Data Analytics courses at various design and business schools (Mexico’s CEDIM, Hult). Jose is a Kaggle master and the IEEE EMBS and RAS UAE chapter chair. He advises various startups such as Awok.com, healint.com (Singapore) and myhappyforce.com. His research focus is the creative process and applied data science.
