Dr. Inyup Kang

Biography
Inyup Kang (aka IK) received B.S. and M.S. in Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University in 1985 and 1987, respectively, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in 1996. From 1996 to 2009, he was at Qualcomm; led generations of cellular modem baseband chips. From 2010 to 2017, he spearheaded R&D for cellular chipset and protocol stack; from 2017 to 2021, he was the President and GM of System LSI at Samsung Electronics. His research interests are in the fundamental aspects of wireless communications, and intelligent algorithm design based on the accelerated evolution. He is IEEE Fellow, and NAEK Foreign Member.
