Biography
Inno Davidson, M(1992), SM (2003) is a Full Professor and Chair, Department of Electrical Power Engineering, Research Leader, Energy Systems for Smart and Intelligent Cities; Fellow, Institute of Engineering and Technology, UK; Fellow, South African Institute of Electrical Engineers; Chartered Engineer, UK; registered Professional Engineer (ECSA). He has over thirty years of experience in engineering and technology, research and implementation, university teaching and academic leadership, consulting and industry application. Dr Davidson is a member of DUT Space Science Program; recipient of several local and international research grants and awards. He has managed over R45million in research funds, and has developed and presented invited industry-focussed courses. He has graduated 6 PhD and 28 MSc electrical engineering students and several currently under supervision. He is the author/co-author of over 220 papers in accredited journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings.
