Fabio Mottola received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, in 2004 and 2008, respectively. Currently, he is associate professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Naples Federico II. His research interests include the planning and operation of electrical energy systems and lightning effects on power lines. Fabio Mottola is Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is Associate Editor of IEEE Access and IEEE Open Access Journal of Power and Energy.
