Biography
Dr Christos Tsamis received his Physics diploma from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1989 and his PhD degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1996. Since 1996 he joined the Institute of Microelectronics (now Inst. of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology) at the National Center for Scientific Research Demokritos where he is currently Director of Research, heading the Autonomous Sensors and Energy Harvesting Lab. His research interests focus on Nanostructured materials and devices for Vibrational Energy harvesting, Chemical Sensors, Micro- and Nanofabrication technologies for Microsystems and Thermal processes for micro- and nanodevices. He is/was Scientific Responsible and/or Coordinator for several National and EU. He is the author or co-author of over 150 publications in peer-reviewed International Journals, Conference Proceedings and contributions in International Conferences.
