Dr. Song was born in Seoul, Korea. He lived his childhood in Paraguay, South America where he learned Spanish and Guarani. He received his Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering from the Facultad de Ciencias Fisicas y Matematicas, Universidad Nacional de Asuncion. He finished his graduate studies at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana where he received his MSEE and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering. As a professional, he worked extensively in the Automotive Industry in the fields of engine controls, emission controls, fuel economy, control design automation and self-driving automation. He is the holder of 16 US Patents and author of 11 professional publications.
