Biography
Received BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering in 1976 from Imperial College, London, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley in 1981. Worked at Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ from 1982 to 1985. Worked at Hewlett Packard Labs, Palo Alto, CA in 1989. Joined UCLA EE faculty in 1985, where he is Distinguished Professor. Received the 1997 Donald G. Fink Prize Paper Award, and the 2008 Donald O. Pederson Award for Solid-State Circuits. Elected to the US National Academy of Engineering in 2007 for the development of RF-CMOS, and to TWAS-The World Academy of Sciences in 2009.
