Dr. Torres is an Electrical Engineer with Master´s degree in Power Engineering, Systems Engineering, Doctoral degree in Power from RPI, Troy, NY. Dr. Torres got a Diploma in Electric Power Transmission, France 1982. Alvaro Torres is an executive with more than 30 years of experience in infrastructure and energy projects in Latin America. Roles include portfolio management, engineering and construction, business development, general and project management across infrastructure and energy. Started career as partner from 1981 to 2008 of Consultoria Colombiana. In 2008 joined SNC-Lavalin as President of Colombian operations. In 2013 joined Grupo Energia de Bogota; one of Latin America's largest energy investment companies, as Investments Vice-President. In 2016 Dr. Torres joined Delphi Capital Partners as President responsible for overall strategy and investment analysis. Has been Professor at the Universidad the Los Andes for more than 30 years.
