Dr. Adrian Gambier

Biography
Adrian Gambier is an electronic engineer graduated from the National University of San Juan (Argentina). After 5 years research and teaching at the same university, he was awarded a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service and started doctoral research at the Ruhr-University Bochum, in Germany. In 1996 he obtained the Doctorate in Engineering in the field of control engineering. Afterwards, he was a research associated until 1999 at the same institute. Between 1999 and 2011 he was with the University of Mannheim and later at Heidelberg University in Germany as a senior lecturer and researcher, where he obtained the German habilitation for university teaching. In 2011, he joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems in Bremeherven as a Senior Scientist. He works in the advanced control of wind turbines. Moreover, he leads several research projects and teaches the course Control of Wind Turbines at the Leibnitz University of Hannover.
