Would you let your child use a chatbot? Within what set of circumstances?

Chatbots such as ChapGPT have been frequently in the news lately - often because of their impressive results.  However, they have also been in the news because of some surprising-to-crazy responses they have made. This makes me wonder whether they are safe for my children to use.  Would you let your child use a chatbot?
