Algorithms largely run many cities. Does your city have too much or too little automation?

A recent post remarked that algorithms quietly run the city of DC—and maybe your hometown.  It further remarked that "A new report finds that municipal agencies in Washington deploy dozens of automated decision systems, often without residents’ knowledge."  Whether that is a good thing or not is a matter of opinion.  What do you think?
