Are AI relationships good for their users?

As AI tools expand, there has been an increase in the number of searches seeking to replace human relationships with AI relationships to help deal with loneliness/lack of human interaction.

Several recent posts, including a Forbes article, The Prompt: Demand For AI Girlfriends Is On The Rise, have noted the growing popularity of AI friends - but I wonder whether they are good for their users. Is it really good to have a ready substitute for human interaction? What do you think?
