How eager are you to take a ride in a self-driving car?

I recently saw a post about a person taking his first ride in a self-driving car. I have read several articles about self-driving cars - some positive and some not. While I drive a Tesla MY, I have not subscribed to the self-driving now have I taken a ride in a self-driving car? Do you think the technology is ready?
Should I get the "self-driving subscription"?
