A recent post noted that A "Godfather of AI" Calls for an Organization to Defend Humanity [from AI]. Protecting us from AI is not a new topic for IEEE. Indeed, IEEE Spectrum recently pointed to: A Roadmap for Regulating AI Programs: This IEEE standard outlines how to verify and validate any system.  Could an organization to defend humanity be part of the IEEE?  Should it be?
