Is Social Media content more or less truthful than five years ago? Why?

Social Media on the Internet is continuously evolving. Old content is being edited. New content is being added. Moderation policies are changed. Automated content creators (AI) are now adding content. There is clearly more content on social media than five years ago. But is Social Media content more or less less truthful than it was five years ago?  Why?
