Even though some governments ban the use of facial recognition by police departments, businesses can still use it. Inaccuracies in facial recognition can, and do, lead to some false accusations. How is technology evolving to improve effectiveness? What privacy issues are at stake and how can you protect yourself?
 
What actions can you take to protect yourself from such false accusations? 
  • Hire a lawyer to insist on your rights
  • Demand to know if facial recognition was involved in the accusation
  • Demand to know the identity of the person who accused you.
  • Demand to see all images of the wrongdoer - to determine the role of technology in your accusation
